May Darkness Guide I3 by ~andraon:iconandraon:

Mai had to admit what he was saying made a strange kind of sense and some of it coincided with what they knew of the human brain, “But why now? Why not as some other point in history?

Kilkishra replied, “Oh Master isn’t the first one to meet up. It has happened pretty often throughout time.”

Andraon smiled and nodded, “They were often though of as crazy, or in times past evil and killed before they could learn much. Our race has only been able to accurately measure brain usage in the last hundred years. We have come a long way, and we are learning how to use more of our brain. What you are doing with this ‘Cure’ of yours is nothing more than pulling the wool back over their eyes. Not that I am complaining after all, it suits me to be unique.”

Mai was starting to wish she had taken the Warden’s advice about leaving Andraon alone. “So if things can enter and leave here so easily, why are you still here?”

Andraon nodded, she was starting to ask better questions as she settled into this interview, “I’m not ready to leave yet. I have things to do and things to learn before I re-enter the world of men.”

“So six years in darkness and isolation weren’t enough?” Mai continued.

With a sigh Andraon responded, “Was the eight years you spent at the University of the Mind enough?”

Mai colored slightly in embarrassment, “Well no, but it wasn’t all I did that eight years.”

Andraon smirked, “You must take me for obsessed if you think all I’ve done these six years was study during my waking hours.”

Kilkishra giggled, “I certainly wouldn’t be here if Master was anywhere near that boring!”

Mai collored even more even though she could see no way for the strange little female ‘Demon’ to have any kind of true relations with Andraon due to the sheer difference in size.

Andraon was suddenly on his feet and seemed to loom over her as he leaned forward so that his face was very near hers. “If you continue to entertain me Miss Mai, I shall let you leave here intact.”

She wasn’t sure what he meant but based on what the Warden had said about the men he had lost, it couldn’t be pleasant. Just then there were several sharp snapping sounds and she jumped in fright. Her face would have met with his if he hadn’t pulled back slightly.

Andraon lightly ran a hand down her cheek, “Now, now Miss Mai. That’s just lunch arriving, make yourself comfortable at the table while I fetch out food.”

His hand had been warm and soft; to her surprise she had felt no malice or ill intent in it which scarred her more than if she had. It took a moment for his words to sink in and with a feeling of panic she realized that if it was lunch already it be about three hours since she had been injected with the drug to help her see.

Kilkishra few over and fluttered at face level before Mai, “Isn’t Master tasty?” Mai colored a bit more, “Why don’t you….”

“Kilkishra, that’s enough. If you make her too embarrassed it’ll take all the fun out of the rest of the evening.” Andraon reprimanded the tiny demon.

Kilkishra just giggled and flew off after Andraon. Mai took several deep breaths to calm herself and then made her way to the table.

Author's Comments

Well after a good bit of wait I have actually wrote some more for May Darkness Guide. No this won't turn into a romantic story Andraon is just pushing Mai's buttons because he finds it fun. But will she make it out with her mind, body, and soul intact? and what will they be having for lunch?

I'm having a bit of a problem deciding what they will have to eat. After all, what do you feed someone you wish didn't exist?
More to come soon but I wanted to return to this and give everyone who wants to know what happens next another tid bit. as allways feel free to leave comments.
